Marathon • March 23, 2017

A day of halves! First half was a glorious ride. Second half was a grit your teeth headwind. We rode from Marfa to Marathon--57 miles. The scenery was very pretty again. We saw a roadrunner today. And some "critters" out in the distance but we could not tell what they were. The Prada Store was not real--it was an "art installation". Our tent number is #7. Those were answers to GCS questions. Halfway through our ride today we stopped in Alpine,TX and we stopped at a bakery and had awesome cinnamon buns! Tomorrow is a day off from riding.

Mar you are already almost 1/2 way down the itinerary list !!!!! the pic of that little dog is so cute but why all the big ropes around its neck?

Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. We would like to know if all the riders are still going strong? Sorry you missed your turn one day and rode for an extra 3 miles. What state has been your favorite to ride through so far? Have you picked up and souvenirs along the way?

For Mrs. Melly's class: All riders are still going strong. We have all gotten stronger with each day of riding. One rider did have a fall last week and had to take a few days off but he is back at it.
